Sit comfortably. Let your shoulders soften. Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze. Notice your breathing—no need to change it yet, just notice.
When you are ready, say quietly in your heart:
“Lord, I am here to listen.”
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10
Read this slowly. Let each phrase land:
Be still…
and know…
that I…
am God.
On each exhale, you may gently repeat:
“Be still… and know…”
Inhale (4 seconds): “Be still…”
Exhale (6 seconds): “…and know that I am God.”
Follow this rhythm for a few cycles. Let the words move with your breath. If your mind wanders, gently return to the verse—no judgment, only returning.
Breath cycle: ready.
Now rest in silence for a moment. You don’t need to say anything. Simply be with God, who is already with you.
If a word or phrase from the verse stands out, hold it gently in your heart
and offer a simple response like:
“Thank You.”
“Help me trust You.”
“You are God.”
Take one last deep breath in… and out. When you are ready, open your eyes.
Carry this simple prayer into your day:
“Be still, and know that You are God.”
