Practice Loving God

Practice Loving God

A slow, honest, daily conversation with the One who loves you first.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.”
Matthew 22:37
Journey Step 1 of 4
Step 1 · Receive
Remember how God loves you
Before you try to love God, pause and let yourself be loved. Love begins with Him, not with you.
Quietly finish this sentence: “God, today I sense Your love in…”
I paused for at least 30 seconds in silence.
I thanked God for at least one specific thing.
Step 2 · Heart
Offer your desires
Loving God with your heart means bringing your real desires—holy or messy—into His light instead of hiding them.
Tell God one deep desire and one fear you are carrying today.
I named one desire honestly before God.
I named one fear honestly before God.
Step 3 · Mind
Align your thoughts
Loving God with your mind means letting His truth correct the stories you tell yourself about Him and about you.
Write one unhelpful thought you often believe, then answer it with a truth about God.
I identified one recurring unhelpful thought.
I answered it with a truth about God’s character.
Step 4 · Strength
Choose one act of love
Loving God with your strength means turning love into action—small, concrete, and done for His sake.
Choose one simple act you will do today as an expression of love for God.
I chose one specific act I can actually do today.
I offered this act to God in a short prayer.
